Gooseneck Hitches can easily be mounted in your truck
For pulling horse trailers or large utility trailers, gooseneck hitches are
usually the ticket. A gooseneck hitch usually mounts to the bed of your
pickup, usually over the rear axle. This allows the load from the trailer
to be dispersed at a location your truck will best be able to handle it.
One of the problems with the gooseneck style hitch is that you now have a ball
sticking up in the bed of your truck. This causes problems when trying to
haul material in your pickup bed.
There are several styles of goosenecks available now that allow you to hide the
ball hitch when not in use. A small hole is cut into your truck bed that
allows the ball to be recessed down. The other style does not require as
big of a hole, but is mounted on rails. These rails site low in the bed
and still allow for easy hauling of materials.
When selecting a gooseneck hitch you will need to know what type of vehicle you
have and the weight of the trailer you will be towing. Selection is a snap
using several of the online hitch suppliers - search for your gooseneck today!
